New Zealand Cricket Team have shown a glimpse of their preparations by defeating England in a recently concluded Test series. The Kiwis won the second Test at Edgbaston and won the series by a 1-0 margin. The Blackcaps won their first series in England after 1999.
But Team India’s preparations for the ICC World Test Championship Final. are in full swing. The WTC final is to be played in Southampton from 18th to 22nd June 2021. Team India is in Southampton and they are preparing in style by playing intra-squad practice matches among themselves.
Indian players face each other in this match, but they have made the situation like a real match. Till now, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, and Ishant Sharma performed well in that warm-up game. But the real star showed his class on Sunday.
Team India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja batted on the third day of the match and the left-handed batsman showed his batting cameo. BCCI posted a short video of Ravindra Jadeja’s batting, in which Jadeja has played a beautiful cover drive off Ishant Sharma’s bowling. Seeing this cover drive, the Indian cricket fans will be happy.
Sir Jadeja scored a fifty and showed excellent form with the bat once again as he has done it in the last few months of Test Cricket. Jaddu batted well in this match. According to the update released by the BCCI, ‘Sir Jadeja’ scored an excellent half-century and played an unbeaten inning of 54 runs from 76 balls. Mohammed Siraj took two wickets for 22 runs.
A day earlier, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant scored a tremendous 121 runs from just 94 balls, and the opener Shubman Gill scored 85 runs. Ishant Sharma took three wickets with the ball.
Jadeja’s best batting is needed in Test Championship and with this innings, Jadeja has presented a strong chance for India in the final. Jadeja has been very successful with his bat in this Test Championship. Jadeja played ten matches and scored 469 runs from 13 innings with five half-centuries, and his average is 58.62. Jadeja’s best score is 91 runs.
