Andre Russell is disappointed with the loss against MI, and He reacts to Shahrukh Khan’s tweet.

Andre Russell’s valiant effort with the ball went vain after KKR batters choked in a run chase against Mumbai Indians yesterday. Russell picked up a five-wicket haul, and those five wickets came in the span of just two overs.  But the batsmen of KKR failed to deliver despite the good start provided by Rana and Gill. 

Rahul Chahar’s four wickets dismantled the KKR batting line, consisting of big and powerful hitters like Morgan, Shakib, Dinesh Karthik, and Andre Russell. KKR lost wickets at continuous intervals, and in the end, it was a fantastic victory for the defending champions, Mumbai Indians. They won this match by ten runs. 

After this loss, KKR’s all-rounder Andre Russell apologized to his fans for a disappointing show, and the owner of KKR, Shahrukh Khan, too apologized on behalf of the players to his fans. Russell said that they are disappointed with the loss as a well-balanced run chase was messed up by their batters. 

Russell believes that KKR will come back strong in the upcoming games. This is not the end. They have learned a lot from this loss to make a strong comeback. KKR are proud of their boys, and they will learn the lessons from this heartbreaking loss. 

 It was a complete turnaround for KKR. They were well placed after the halfway stage, where KKR had scored 84 runs and lost two wickets in the first ten overs. But in the next ten overs, their entire innings was collapsed, and they could manage just 142 runs in the end. 

Their batting looked completely mismatched after a good opening partnership. After Gill’s wicket, the other batters like Rana, Morgan and Shakib looked in a hurry to finish the game. At the same time, Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell took their time and couldn’t absorb the pressure because of the run rate’s innings.    

The experienced players like Russell and Karthik looked out of touch, and they used up many deliveries. They played like they were in this situation for the first time in their life. Russell’s poor form from the IPL 2020 continued to hurt KKR. He scored nine runs from just 15 deliveries. 

Dinesh Karthik left his captaincy of KKR to concentrate on his batting. But he also used up many balls and helped the run rate to get more. DK scored eight of 11 balls, which was also why the run rate was also increased. 

Russell said that Chennai is very hard for any new batsmen to come and score quick runs. Now KKR team will make sure that the set batsmen should finish the games for them.
