Kambli’s Background
Vinod Kambli, born on 18 January 1972 and is the first cricketer to score a century in a One-day International on his birthday and he has the highest batting average score in a Test match i.e., 54 which is more than the score of Sachin Tendulkar.
He had played his last Test at the age of 23 and after that, he was only considered to play in ODI matches. He is also interested in acting and seen in various reality shows and Bollywood films as an actor. Currently, Kambli is a coach at the MCA Academy in Mumbai and in TMGA Camps.
Tendulkar’s Journey
Sachin Tendulkar, born on 24 April 1973 and is one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket who is the only player to score one hundred international centuries and a double century in ODIs. He took up cricket at the age of eleven and made his first test debut at the age of sixteen against Pakistan in Karachi.
In his long cricket journey, he’s honored with various awards such as Arjuna, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Padma Shri, Padma Vibhushan, and Bharat Ratna.
On 16th November 2013, he announced retirement from all forms of cricket after giving his last dashing performance in the 200th Test match with an average of 53.78, and even in this pandemic year also he received Laureus World Sports Award for Best Sporting Moment from 2000-2020.
In 2010, Time magazine printed his name as one of the “Most Influential People in the World”
Comparison
Honestly, scoring higher than Tendulkar in Test Match isn’t everything. Players like Sachin improvers their playing skills 1% every day but players like Kambli things that Talents have a great thing to have, he doesn’t know that talent can not make you stand anywhere if the important ingredients like discipline and determination to succeed aren’t there!
