Mumbai Indians’ coach Mahela Jayawardene explains the reason why Hardik Pandya is not bowling

In the ongoing season of Indian Premier League 2021, Mumbai Indians’ star all-rounder Hardik Pandya hasn’t bowed a single over in the three games MI has played so far.  The mystery of Hardik, not bowling, is being continued in the IPL 2021 season, and so far, Hardik hasn’t delivered with the bat as well.

In the IPL 2020 season, Hardik had returned to the field after a long break which he took for his back surgery. That is why he didn’t get to bowl in the entire season, played in the UAE. Mumbai Indians had managed the workload of Hardik Pandya that season.

Hardik Pandya bowled just five overs in the three-match series against Australia. he didn’t bowl a single over in the T20I series, and they did not pick him in the four-match Test series, which India won Down Under.

He also missed the four-match Test series against England at home, and he bowled in the first two ODI matches.

In the last ODI match of the three-match series in the 50 over format, Pandya resumed to ball, and everyone started to think Hardik is back as a true all-rounder, and then he bowled in the five-match T20I series against England as well.

In the IL 2021 season, Pandya hasn’t bowled a single over in the three matches that Mumbai Indians have played, and his performance with the bat has been below par in the first three games.

I will take on DC tonight, so the legendary Sri Lankan batsman Mahela Jayawardene has explained why Hardik Pandya is not bowling in the IPL 2021 season? Mahela said they are looking forward to seeing Hardik bowl.

In the last IPL season, Hardik wasn’t ready to bowl as he came from an injury. In the last match of the ODI series against England, Pandya picked up a niggle. SO the MI staff has decided not to take any risk.

Jayawardene feels that Hardik should be comfortable to bowl, and in the coming next weeks, MI is hopeful that Hardik would bowl. MI would love to use Hardik’s bowling services, and he may return to bowl once the niggle goes away.
