Justin Langer confirms Shaun Marsh in contention for opening spot against India

India’s tour of Australia has been one of the most competitive cricket tours for a long period of time now. Even this year the series has been full of uncertainties and unpredictabilities. It is the first series after the lockdown due to corona virus in which spectators are allowed inside the stadium with half the strength and all the precautions related to social distancing have to be followed.

Till now the ODI and T20 series have taken place with both the teams winning one series each. In the ODI series the initial 2 games were completely dominated by the Australians but India showed some courage and bounced back in the third ODI to finish the series at 2-1. In the T20 series, it was India who showed their terrific skills and their dominance as they won the first 2 T20s with the help of a collective team effort. In the third T20 Australia came back strongly to defeat India and finish the series at 2-1.

Test series begins from 17th:

All eyes now turn on the most awaited Border Gavaskar trophy which is scheduled to begin from 17 December. The first test will be a day night test in Adelaide which will he played with pink ball. Indian team is playing against domestic Australian sides these days for getting match practice and testing all the available players.

Australia’s head coach Justin Langer has said that they’re considering Shaun Marsh for the upcoming Border Gavaskar trophy against India. Shaun has been in an amazing form scoring 3 hundreds in his last 4 domestic matches for Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield which makes him a top contender for an opening spot along with David Warner.
