CSK Can Still Qualify For Playoffs, Know How?

CSK defeated DC by 91 runs in the second match of the double-header match played on Sunday to register their fourth win of the season. With this win, there is little hope of CSK qualifying for the playoffs. Let us tell you that under the captaincy of Dhoni, CSK has registered two victories so far.

CSK’s chances of going to playoff remain intact

In the 55th match of the double-header match played on Sunday, CSK not only won the match by defeating DC by a huge margin i.e. 91 runs but also moved from ninth to eighth position in the points table. CSK has got this victory under Dhoni’s captaincy and if Dhoni wants to play in the playoffs, then it has become necessary for him to win his remaining three matches.

CSK will have to win the remaining three matches by a big margin, while the team will also have to take care of the net run rate. Mostly it depends on the victories of the other teams. Currently after KKR’s win on Monday, CSK has slipped down to ninth position again.

Big win against DC

In the 55th match of IPL 2022 , CSK climbed up a notch in the points table by winning against DC by a huge margin. Batting first after losing the toss, CSK set a target of 209 runs in 20 overs which included a half-century from Devon Conway. While chasing this target, DC was all out for 117 runs in 17.4 overs. With this win, CSK’s chances of going to the playoffs have increased.

Dhoni’s captaincy won

Even before the start of this season of IPL, Dhoni had left the captaincy of CSK, after which Ravindra Jadeja was given the responsibility of captaincy. But under the captaincy of Jadeja, CSK was able to win only 2 matches, from above Jadeja was also unable to do anything special, due to which he returned the captaincy to Dhoni in the middle of the season.
