Known as the powerhouse team of world cricket, the wait for the Indian cricket team to win ICC tournaments is getting longer. The Indian cricket team won 3 ICC tournaments between 2007 and 2013, but since then India’s bag has been empty from ICC tournaments.

India Is Waiting To Win ICC Tournaments

After this, the Indian team played many ICC tournaments under the leadership of two great captains, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli, but they could not get success. India is waiting to win the ICC tournament.

This year the T20 World Cup is to be played in Australia’s hosting. In which the Indian team is being considered as a contender, but India will win it is not guaranteed. Former India batsman Yuvraj Singh gave the reason for not winning ICC tournaments.

Yuvraj Singh Told Why India Is Not Able To Win

Yuvraj Singh, the hero of the Indian cricket team’s 2011 world winning team, said during an interview, “When we won the World Cup (2011), we all had a set number to bat. I realized in the 2019 World Cup that the Indian team did not plan it well.”

Yuvraj Singh, a former Indian batsman, further said that “Not giving continuous opportunities to the players in the 2019 World Cup proved to be wrong for the team. The team fed Vijay Shankar at number 4, who had played only 5-7 matches at that time. Then he was replaced in the team by Rishabh Pant, who had played only 4 ODIs at that time. Ambati Rayudu should have been included in the team instead of these two players.”
