Hello Cricfann! Everyone knows that practice makes the man perfect. And when it’s about ground rules, the more we practice, the better we learn.

Having said that Rashid Khan, the current vice-captain of the Afghanistan national cricket team follows the same rule.  Lately, he has made suggestions that Afghanistan needs to play more against Test cricket’s elite!

Short Recap about Rashid Khan!

Rashid Khan Arman, born on 20 September 1998, was just 22-year-old and the youngest cricketer to captain a Test match side against Bangladesh which was in September 2019.

He made his Test debut at the age of 19 which was indeed admirable. He was the first bowler for Afghanistan who took a ten-wicket haul in tests.

What did he want to convey!

In an interview, Afghanistan’s charm, Rashid Kham states that his team will only improve if they are given opportunities to face the game’s elite.

Although Afghanistan has full membership to the ICC and further Tests, still they only played four matches in the ultimate format of the game till now, which is very low!

Rather than giving them more opportunities, Afghanistan with Ireland, and Zimbabwe were excluded from the upcoming 2019-21 World Test Championship due to the ongoing pandemic. Basically, via his message, he just appealed for a chance to play!

So, what do you think, will Afghanistan get a chance to play!

Will Afghanistan seriously rise into cricket’s top tier!
