Pakistan’s talented bowler Umar Gull decides to exit from all forms of cricket

Umar Gull is a Pakistani medium-fast bowler. He was known for his enormous wickets in t20 leagues. In the World Cup of 2007 as well as 2009, he ended the league becoming the most wicket-taking bowler for Pakistan. He is a very talented person. 

However, after such a beautiful and excellent career he has decided to move on and leave cricket behind. He has retired from all three formats. The final league he played in the 2020-21 T20 National Cup. His incredible career lasted for an enormous 17 years.

Due to the outbreak, the player had no farewell from his fans. He was a star for the nation. Following an unfortunate loss at Rawalpindi, the player walked out in a guard of honor from his teammates as well as his opponents.

Umar Gull had to go through some tough times along with good phases. His cricket began on the streets and small grounds of Peshawar, Pakistan. 

Following the 2003 World Cup, wherein Pakistan’s season didn’t go well, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis retired from international cricket. They got replaced by the fast-medium bowler Umar Gull. The responsibilities of fast bowling relayed from seniors to the youngster. 

Umar Gull stated that they are legends and it is extremely difficult to do what they did but he has given his best. Pakistan was qualified for the final in the 2007 t20 World Cup. 

He stated that lifting the World Cup was the happiest phase for him and he was proud. As people in the country were waiting for their team to hold the World Cup. They were happy as the team won the World-Cup. 

He was also selected to play in the popular league, IPL by the Kolkata Knights Riders. It was the time when Pakistan players were approved to play in the IPL.

In the 2011 World Cup, he was targeted by the Indian Openers. He conceded 69 runs in 8 overs without any wicket. It resulted in the harshest phase in his career.
