PAKISTAN BOARD AWARDS 2020, BABAR AZAM CROWNED AS ‘THE MOST SIGNIFICANT PLAYER OF THE YEAR’, AND MORE WINNERS IN THERE!

If someone is performing great or especially playing for their country, a pat on the back of praise and applaud refreshes the player or person and motivates him to serve with even more dedication and devotion. However, there are many fans of the players who always show and express their love towards them but a formal way of saying the players ‘Thank You’ and giving and telling them what they deserve is the one known as Awards. 

PCB’S Proud at Proficient Players!

To commemorate and celebrate the players’ inclination for their nation, the Pakistan Cricket Board had organized an Online Award Function and on the very last day of 2020 i.e., 31st December 2020 was announced the nominees for respective awards. So that the results were going to be announced on the initial day of the new year, 1st Jan 2021, the selection of players was done by an individualistic committee constituting honorable and esteemed former cricketers of Pakistan.

The major players in the nominations were Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Hafeez, and many more. 

And the Award Goes to…!

On the 1st January 2021, PCB announced the winners of the annual PCB Awards 2020, amongst the results Babar Azam is granted the award of ‘The Most Prominent and Valuable Player of the Year 2020’.

Besides this Babar has also earned the ‘White-Ball Cricketer of the Year’ Award,

While, the lefty batsman, Fawad Alam has added one more award to his shelf, ‘Individual Performance of the Year’, for his exhibition versus New Zealand in a Test Match. 

Mohammad Rizwan, right-handed batsman, and wicketkeeper, has been regarded as ‘The Test Cricketer of the Year’.

Naseem Shah, the right-arm fast pacer, won the title of ‘Men’s Emerging International Cricketer of the Year’.

The right-handed batswoman and captain of ODI and T20I Pakistan National Women’s Cricket Team, Aliya Riaz has been entitled as ‘The Women’s Cricketer of the Year’.

The rising, right-arm medium bowler and 19-year-old cricketer, Fatima Sana is given the award of ‘Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year’.

Conclusion

The PCB chairman, Ehsan Mani said that even in such hard times of the pandemic, the players have given their best to Pakistan Cricket which can be clearly seen in their previous performances, and he stresses the players must be acknowledged for their display in the year 2020 so that it acts as an incentive and take cricket at sky-high pinnacles.
