There are still doubts over the play of Rajasthan Royals’ explosive batsman Shimron Hetmyer in today’s match against Delhi Capitals. The batsman returned to his home country Guyana. Now the question is if Hetmyer doesn’t play then who will get his place?

Who will replace Hetmyer?

Actually, against Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals’ explosive batsman Shimron Hetmyer remains in doubt. Shimron Hetmyer has left for his country in the middle of IPL 2022. Shimron has become a father for the first time. He gave the good news to the fans on Tuesday morning.

He shared the video on Instagram and showed the fans the first glimpse of the son. Hetmyer had recently left the Rajasthan Royals camp for the birth of his child and left for home. In such a situation, Rasi van der Dussen or Daryl Mitchell can be given a chance in his place.

Rassie van der Dusen-Daryl Mitchell’s performance in the current season

Against Delhi Capitals (RR vs DC), Rajasthan Royals can change their playing XI and give a chance to Rasi van der Dussen or Daryl Mitchell. Both these players have played two matches each in this season. In two matches, Rassie van der Dussen has scored 10 runs while Daryl Mitchell has scored 33 runs. Here Daryl Mitchell is more likely to get a chance as he gives the option of bowling as well as with the bat.

Hetmyer’s performance in the current season

Shimron Hetmyer has performed very well so far in IPL 2022. In many matches, he has won matches single-handedly. Hetmyer has played 11 matches so far and scored 291 runs at an average of 72.75 and a strike rate of 166.29. At the same time, in this season he has also hit 18 fours and 21 sixes.
