IPL 2021: 4 Players Who Refused To Play In The Tournament

The upcoming 2021 Indian Premier League  season is set to be played from 14th April. All the franchises have bought their preferred players in the auctions in February. The teams are practicing currently to prepare for the matches. IPL has got large popularity in recent years. Players from all over the world want to play in the league. IPL has become one of the biggest tournaments in the world now. However, few players refused to play in the tournament.

PLAYERS WHO REFUSED TO PLAY IN 14TH IPL SESSION!

1. Kusal Perera – Kusal Perera is a Sri Lankan cricketer and has played in IPL. He played for the Rajasthan Royals team where he played 2 matches and scored only 14 runs. The team released him next year. He wasn’t picked by any team after that. However, he was approached by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018 to play as an opening batsman. The played refused to play with them as he had to concentrate on domestic cricket.

2. Mitchell Marsh- Australian Player is also one of those who refused to play in the tournament. Marsh used to play for Deccan Chargers Hyderabad in past but due to injuries, he had to leave the league. Though he returned and played for Pune teams for few seasons. But due to injuries, he has to take a break. Later he declines the offer in 2017 to take a rest and prepare for test matches.

3. Tushar Deshpande – Tushar Deshpande who played for the Delhi team in the previous season, also rejected the IPL once. He rejected the offer to play for a club team in a small tournament.

4. Ravi Bopara – Ravi Bopara, the England player has played for the Punjab team in the initial seasons of the tournament. In 2010, England was not allowing their players to play in the outer leagues, or else they will be released from the national team. Hence the player rejected the offer to stay in the England team.
