On Wednesday the Indian Cricketers Association (ICA) nominated Pragyan Ojha the former India spinner well-known for his majestic turns as the IPL governing council representative.
This announcement was made before a day from the 89th BCCI’s Annual General Meeting planned to held in Ahmedabad on December 24, Thursday.
Previously it was Surinder Khanna who represented the association. The former India player was selected as per BCCI constitution which says every year IPL governing council will send a member to as a representative.
Ashok Malhotra, ICA president confirmed that ICA’s directors after analysing have nominated Pragyan Ojha as a representative for the IPL governing council. Also, he added that previously Surinder Khanna has done a very good job holding the same title.
In February 2020 means this year Pragyan Ojha left-arm spinner after a great cricket career retired from international and first-class cricket.
ICA in its press release stated that the members had authorised the entire Board of Directors. The meeting was all about to nominate the new representative of IPL GC and the ICA Board. The Board of Directors after due considerations and looking for capabilities to fixing all possible issues found Ojha a suitable candidate to represent them.
They are sure on there nomination that it will again hold good for one more year. Due to the current pandemic situation, AGM conducted this press conference via video conference.
