Former Tamil Nadu and CSK seamer Yo Mahesh retires from all forms of cricket

If anyone among us regularly follows cricket, we must know the importance of domestic level cricket in any cricket playing nation and how it provides opportunities for all the youngsters to grow and improve their game. Various tournaments such as Ranji trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy, Deodar trophy and most popularly IPL have given chances to players from every corner of the country who aspire to be big crickters to showcase their talent, perform at the big level and earn a spot in the national side.

Players like Wasim Jaffer, Aakash Chopra and Sanjay Manjrekar did not get big chances for the national team but we’re excellent for their domestic teams and contributed a lot to their teams. Many other players over the years have performed extremely well at these domestic tournaments and hence caught the eyes of the selectors to play for the national team.

Another retirement:

One such domestic player was former Tamil Nadu and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) seamer Vijaykumar Yo Mahesh. This year we have already witnessed so many big players retire like MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Mohammad Amir. We now have this seamer of Tamil Nadu announcing his retirement at the end of the year. The right-arm medium-fast bowler ends his career with 108 wickets in 50 first-class matches. He also scalped 93 wickets in List A cricket at an average of 24.67. He represented both DD and CSK in the IPL.

Thanks India Cements:

He said that his last five years were injury ridden and he doesn’t consider himself to be fit to continue in the game any further. He thanked India cements for posing faith in him and giving him the opportunity to share the dressing room with the various legends of the game.

In the comment box, do tell us who do you miss in cricket the most among all the players that have recently retired?
