County Cricket to Be Abandoned: Positive test from a Player

After the impact of coronavirus, every field is suffering a lot. My events are canceled, and many of them are postponed. Many sportsmen tested positive for this COVID-19. This virus is deadly, but it spreads quickly. Many players are still suffering from the coronavirus.

The concept of the Bio Bubble was introduced to keep social distancing from the outside world and quarantine the players and can continue playing the games. But many incidences had happened where players turn positive, and symptoms were asymptomatic.

This increases in the spread of coronavirus, and making the world suffer a lot. In sports, there are many restrictions to avoid the spread. During the match of England and West Indies, Jofra Archer, the pacer, was suspended because he met his family member.

For safety measures, they suspended Jofra for a few days and said to quarantine himself. Just like this, Mohammed Amir was bashed because of using Saliva on the bowl.

County Problems

One of the players is affected by Covid-19, and he was tested positive. As he was not a part of that team, the match was held between Northamptonshire and Gloucestershire. The player is confirmed to belong from Northamptonshire

As the player was tested positive recently, he had no symptoms before. He met many people and at that time. After that, he was facing some of the symptoms. All the players have been quarantined and under the supervision of Doctors.

The players’ name is not revealed yet and the board doesn’t want to say anything about it. Just before the first session launching, it was confirmed that the player is positive for the COVID-19 test. We were not included in the squad but 48 hours prior many players meet him.

After that, they had their official decision that Northamptonshire and Gloucestershire’s match will be abandoned. They will not play further. This is the latest news and further, there’s no hint of what will happen about the match. It will be continued or will be called off.

Hope all the players recover, and we can have County cricket again, as this English competition is very important now, after coronavirus this will brush up the skills of the players. We hope players will follow the rule and follow the proper guidelines in their upcoming matches.

For more updates, both from on and off ground, stay tuned.
