Wriddhiman Saha Left The Bengal Cricket Team

Saha is currently playing the IPL 2022 season for Gujarat Titans. In such a situation, his decision before the final match of IPL 2022 surprised everyone. Saha’s domestic career with the Bengal cricket team is over. Cricket Association of Bengal President Avishek Dalmiya said that,

“The CAB wanted Saha to be with the team at such a crucial juncture when Bengal would play a knock-out match in the Ranji Trophy and try to win the title after finishing on top of the group stage. I spoke to Saha about this and requested him to reconsider his decision. However, Saha has told us that he does not want to play Ranji Trophy knock-out matches.”

Here’s How The Controversy Started

Let us tell you that there is a special reason for this sudden shocking decision of Saha. Actually, this controversy has started due to Wriddhiman Saha not getting a chance in the 2-Test home series against Sri Lanka. It happened that Wriddhiman Saha has requested for Inter-State NOC from the State Cricket Association.

On this issue, a CAB official alleged that he was taking a stubborn stand. He says that no player should be arbitrary with the state cricket association. Because the association is bigger than any player. Let us tell you that due to this controversy, Saha has also left the WhatsApp group of his Ranji team.
