Though there have been several elite cricketers who can compete for this title as they have graced the IPL making it a successful campaign.

Suresh Raina: Career Stats In The Indian Premier League

Though Raina made his ODI debut in 2005 IPL has brought him glory by giving his career the biggest break.

Raina began his IPL career with a bang making 421 runs in his very first season at a strike rate of over 142. He also made three impressive half-centuries in his first season itself.

Out of the 13 seasons that he has played, he made more than 400 runs in 9 seasons.

Raina has also crossed the 500 mark in the IPL on three occasions i.e. 520 runs in 2010, 548 runs in 2013, and 523 runs in 2014. Apart from this, he became the first player to reach the milestone of 5000 runs in the IPL.

He has also held the record of the highest scorer in IPL for the longest time. Apart from this Raina also holds the record for most catches i.e. 109 catches in 204 matches.

Today Raina has reached heights where his name has become synonymous with consistency and reliability.

Suresh Raina’s Biggest Moment In Ipl History

Raina’s biggest moment in the IPL was when he knocked out Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). These innings proved to be his career-best innings. Not only in his career but also in the history of IPL these innings were the best.

In this match, Punjab gave a target of 226 runs to CSK.

To chase this target Raina accelerated his foot hitting 50 runs in just 17 deliveries. He then went on to hit 2 sixes and 5 fours in the 7 balls over, thus making 33 runs from just an over. Though Raina got out at 87 off 25, he made 12 fours and 6 sixes.
