WANT TO WIN THREE T20 WORLD CUP TITLES, THAT IS THE GOAL, REVEALS CHRIS GAYLE

West Indies legend Chris Gayle recently opened up about this year’s goal. He said that he was looking forward to winning the T20 World Cup Championship which is going to be held in India this year. He was asked recently by the board if wanted to play for West Indies and he completely agreed that he would love to play with them.

Gayle was last seen in India playing the home series in 2019 where he played for the West Indies team. He is finally returning to the old team for a T20I series against Sri Lanka. The first match of the series will be starting from 3rd March. The matches will be played at Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua.

In the 2019 World Cup where Gayle was featured last time, people thought that it was his last international match and he won’t be playing after it. But he has surprised everyone with his decision of playing for the World Cup in India. He also added that the World Cup will be the last game of his cricket career.

Gayle said that he wanted to win three T20 World Cups in his career and winning the next championship in India will be his third one. As per Cricbuzz, Chris Gayle said that the upcoming T20 championship will not be the only one that he wanted to win. Along with the T20 championship, some other championships will soon take place after it and he was planning to make the most out of them. Even though he wanted to leave the game, but people love him and they wanted Gayle to play.

Gayle said that he wanted to leave cricket but people stopped him from doing that as they want to see Gayle standing on the strike hitting maximums. He said that because of the people, he has changed his mind and he will continue to play cricket even though he wasn’t thinking to do so.

Gayle said that he got a call from the West Indies cricket board asking if he wanted to play for them and he said yes. Gayle last played in IPL 2020 in UAE where he played for the Kings XI Punjab team. He said that it doesn’t matter which number he plays, all the matters is he gives his best there.

What do you think? Will Gayle be a lucky charm for team West Indies? Will he be able to bring the trophy to the team?
