Virat Kohli overtakes Sachin Tendulkar’s record, and becomes fastest to score 22,000 international

Indian captain Virat Kohli hit another milestone, and this time became the quickest bats to touch the 22000 International runs mark. The right-handed batsman did this in the second ODI against Australia at SCG, where he scored 89 of 87 balls.  

On Sunday ( November 29) Indian captain Virat Kohli touch the great milestone and said to be back in form.  His aggressive and classical shots selection showed his highest level of form. 

Although, after a great knock by the captain, it was an unsuccessful chase for India of 390 against Australia.

Kolhi not only touch the milestone but after India lost Dhawan’s wicket in the 8th over, it was Kohli who added a crucial partnerships with Shreyas Iyer and later with the wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul.

This partnership kept the light of hope for India in the chase. However, everything looked over when India lost Kohli’s wicket in the 35th over of the game.

Not only team India but after this wicket visitor starting moving out of the contest.

However, Kohli couldn’t lead the team to hold the winning title but joined the elite list of batsmen with this 22,000 runs milestone in international cricket. 

Moreover, the right-handed batsman also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record of scoring the quickest 22,000 runs.

Kohli reached the milestone and touch this 22,000 runs mark in total 462 innings. Where master blaster took total 493 innings to reach that mark. 

After them its Brian Lara who touch this mark in 511 innings and Ricky Ponting in 514 innings. 

Currently, the Indian captain has a total of 22011 runs at his name and figure will go on increasing. Kohli also said as she run-machine is the only batsman with an average more than 50 us all three formats.

His scorecard shows 7240 runs in Tests format, 12834 runs in ODIs and l2794 runs in T20s international. 

Moreover, the list is topped by the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar with 34357 runs. And Kohli holds the eighth spot on the list. Rahul Dravid is the another Indian on the list with 24208 runs.
