Top Five Indians With The Best Yo-Yo Test Scores

In Cricket, fitness is the most important thing while playing the sport professionally. So coach Shankar Basu introduced the YO YO Test in 2017, and now it has been an integral part of the Indian Cricket team that allows the selectors and management to pick the fittest players for the national team.

In Cricket, the YO YO Test is calculated by the number of shuttles done at a specific speed. The speed begins with five with one shuttle, and it can go up with the highest speed of 23. The players like Yuvi, Samson, Rayudu, and Chahal have failed to pass the YO YO Tests in the past.

But there are players like Kohli who have done well in this Test also. In today article, we shall let our Indian fitness fans and freaks know about the other four Indian players with Virat Kohli who have done well in the YO YO test, and they have the highest scores in this Test as well –

Ahmed Banday – The Cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir holds the top spot in passing the YO YO Tests. Ahmed Banday is the opening batsman for his state J&K. He had passed the YO YO test with flying colors.

He had scored 19.4 in the Test, which was done in the 2018 domestic season. Banday still holds this record to date, and he has put some big names behind him.

Mayank Dagar – In the second spot of the highest scorers of the YO YO Tests, Mayank Dagar is the player who has recorded a score of 19.3 in this Test which was conducted in July 2018. Dagar was part of the Indian Premier League season.

He played for Punjab Kings in 2018. Dgar is a nephew of Virender Sehwag. Mayank also broke the Yo-Yo Test record of Manish Pandey. But still, he didn’t get any opportunities to showcase his talent.

Manish Pandey – The Indian middle-order batsman in the limited over format has been a step ahead of his captain, Virat Kohli, and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Manish has successfully put behind Kohli and Pandya by performed well in the Yo-Yo Test.

Manish is the third-highest scorer in this Test. He had recorded a score of 19.2 in this Test which he gave in 2017. Manish Pandey is the fittest player in India’s ODI and T20Is squad currently. But due to his inconsistent performance, he has allowed him to be the permanent feature of the national side.

Virat Kohli – The Captain, who was supposed to be the fittest person in the Cricketing world, stands at number four on this list.

Many are surprised that Kohli didn’t make it to the top three list, and he couldn’t score more than Banday, Dagar, and Pandey. Kohli is placed in the fourth position, and he has scored 19 points in the YO Yo Tests.

Ashish Nehra – This list ends with the veteran fast bowler Ashish Nehra. The bowlers are prone to injuries, and the left-arm pacer had suffered many injuries and niggles in his playing career.

But still, he gave the best performance in the Yo-Yo Test and recorded 18.5 in 2017, which was the end of his career. Nehra said that his love for running was the reason why he could give the Yo-Yo Test properly despite it was taken at the fag end of his career.
