TIM PAINE NOT CONCORDANT WITH THE DRS DECISION AFTER CONTENDED EXPULSION

The India Tour of Australia began about a month ago on the 27th of November 2020 and by far the Aussies have won the ODI series while the Men in Blue conquered the T20 International series, both the practice matches were drawn. When it came to the Test match, Team Australia was given the adjective of the winners in the first test match and that was quite a defeat for Team India. Writing wonderfully their victory in the pages of history even in the absence of the captain, Virat Kohli, that was more than quite a comeback.

It was the second inning of the Test match and Australia was batting, then came Ravindra Jadeja for bowling, Tim Paine was on the strike and the very 4th ball of 47th over, and an appeal from players along with the decision of the third umpire Paul Wilson that he had hit the edge of the ball made him leave the cricket ground. And at that time the score of Australia was 99 for 6 with the wicket of Tim included.

While Tim accepted that he was out, juxtaposing it in the interview after the match he said that he looked forward to do a run-full partnership with Cameron Green to increase their scores obviously but the things did not turn out as he wanted and he got out. And when he was asked that if he hit the bat in real, he answered clearly, ‘no’, and after that, he told that he spoke with the officials too after his wicket but their talk was not productive and again the result was not in his favor.

Paine’s Perspective!

Paine is of the view that his decision from the DRS was made too swiftly and was not reconsidered and he stressed that the umpire, Paul Wilson, did not take sufficient replays to finalize that if he is out or not, he said that there was some space between the ball and the bat. His only concern was that his wicket’s resolution must be given some time and second thoughts and he can be seen clearly denying the fact that whether he felt the collision of the bat and the ball.

Here you can see the full interview of Tim Paine in which he stated all the statements,

Conclusion

There have been many times in cricket when a situation like this arises such as in the third ODI Virat Kohli left the field on the grounds of the same Snicko technology.
