The era of the T20 format is rising just like people loved the first test and then ODI. Many T20 formats have started and many are on its way to start. As people from all over the world come to India to watch IPL, as people of India have IPL just like a festival.

Many countries have their own type of leagues, we have BBL, CPL, and PSL other than IPL.

Sri Lankan Premier League

Sri Cricket Board is all set to launch its own Cricket League, they had planned to start their first season in this year around August and end it around the end of September. But the pandemic changed the things and the plans were canceled.

Pandemic changed the world and how it works but the spirit inside all the fans is still alive. People’s love towards cricket is immense in countries like India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Pakistan, etc.

Each country has started their own league to give opportunities to their young players and other underrated players to polish their skills and learn something from the game, and by this, a country can have their real gem to represent them on an international level.

Organizers have stated that this league will be a good start for the young players, they can learn new skills and can have a broad mindset to play the game. They can increase the capacity of their mind for the decision making process.

Sri Lankan Premier League will be the financial help for the players with talent but they don’t have money to continue. There are many players out there who can bowl like Starc and can Bat like Sachin, but they are stuck because of financial problems.

Many players do not get the opportunities to play for the county or to represent their state because there are enough players to represent them, but cricket leagues will open the new doors for such players to showcase their talent and hard work.

When will the Sri Lankan Premier League start?

Most of the back handwork is done and the Sri Lankan cricket board is all set to start their SLPL in September and it will end around November. Hope for some cricket after such a long wait in hope of thrilling action from the ground.
