SREESANTH RETURNS IN A STYLE WITH A WICKET AFTER SEVEN YEARS!

Kerala’s Fast Bowler S. Sreesanth makes his come-back in competitive cricket with a wicket in the currently running Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The right-arm fast bowler scappled the wicket of opener Fabid Ahmad in a match against Puducherry played on Monday at Mumbai. It is his first wicket in the last seven years.

Sreesanth delivered thanks to Kerala Cricket Association and BCCI

After a wait of seven years, Sreesanth finally gets his first wicket in competitive cricket and announces a great come-back. the right-arm fast bowler was included in the Kerala squad for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The fast bowler sent back the opener Fabid Ahmad of Puducherry in the fourth over of the match.

The first wicket in the last seven years comes in a style for Sreesanth. He took the ball away from the right-handed batsman with a swing the gabbled the stumps. It helped Kerala to reduce the opponent team’s score to 26-2.   Significantly, Sreesanth was found accused of spot-fixing in the Indian Player League (IPL) 2013 along with his teammates from Rajasthan Royals including Ajit Chandila, and Ankeet Chavan. They were banned by the BCCI in August 2013.

Last year brought some relief for Sreesanth as his ban was reduced to seven years which ended last year in the month of September. It was not looking like that he was making his return as the Indian bowler was in full flow and returned with a figure of 1 for 29. His hard work and training have made all this possible and he is looking to play more competitive cricket tournaments and matches. Well, Puducherry managed to score 138 runs in the given 20 overs as the bowlers of Kerala displayed a good bowling card.

Ashith Rajiv put some effort from Puducherry’s side and was a top scorer and his innings helped his team Puducherry to reach a respected total. Jalaj Saxena from the Kerala team displayed a great performance with the bowl as the seamer scappled three wickets in his spell and just spread 13 runs.

It was decided last year that Sreesanth wants to play for Kerala as the seamer showed his interest in KCS President’s cup T-20. He also thanked Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), and the selectors to give him the opportunity. The seamer told to ANI that he thanks KCA and the selectors who provided a chance to him. He also thanked BCCI and went a little emotional while speaking that seven years is a long wait. He added that he is training and hard and is looking forward to playing more cricket.
