The Ireland Women’s Super cricket Series started last week with both scorchers and Typhoons taking up against each other in the fifty overs format.
They will be playing against each other in the second of the 8 matches one-day series which is a part of the Women’s Super 50 series. This tournament replaces the super 3’s competition which is an annual women’s one-day competition.
Oak hill witnesses the tournament opener on Monday where the Typhoons in their own style successfully gunned down the 291 for 7 wickets of the scorchers by losing just three of their wickets.
The game is all set to be played at the Pembroke CC in Sydney Parade before the tournaments on the next two Sundays at the Oak Hill.
It will be a treat for the fans of Scorchers as well as Typhoons as they get set to play against each other with Gaby Lewis captaining the scorchers with Leah Paul, Sophie Macmohan, along with the wicket-keeper Shauna Kavanagh and Caoimhe Mccann, Anna Kerrison, Alana Dalzell, Louisa McCarthy, Hannah little, Maria Kerrison, Cara Murray, Jennifer Hanna, Jenny Sparrow, Sarah White, Kate Mcevoy and Tess Maritz.
While Laura Delany captains the Typhoons with Rachel Delaney, Rebecca Stokell, Orla Prendergast, Sarah Forbes, Celeste Raack, Freya Sargent/Ava Canning, Jane Maguire, Georgine Dempsey, Louise Little, O’Reardon, Mya Naughton, Rebecca Gough, Sarah Condron, Zara Craig, and the wicket-keeper Amy Hunter.

And it is a little saddening to hear that it will not be telecasted in any of the TV channels.
