South Africa confirm two positive COVID-19 cases ahead of Sri Lanka series

As all the nations are trying their best to fight with the corona virus and provide their countrymen with best health care facilities, sports authorities have also done their best to bring back sports in times of pandemic following all the necessary precautions and protocols in order to control the spread of the virus. Cricket resumed back in July with England vs West Indies series. All the series and T20 league were being played in empty stadiums before the India’s tour of Australia where half the crowd has been allowed inside the stadiums.

South Africa vs Sri Lanka to begin on Boxing Day:

Apart from India’s tour of Australia, two more tours are going on namely the Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand and Sri Lanka’s tour of South Africa which is set to begin on the Boxing Day with the first test match at Pretoria. The Sri Lankan team had already arrived in South Africa in the beginning of December in order to complete the quarantine period before starting the practice sessions.

2 players for South Africa tests positive:

A sad news for South Africa as 2 of its players for the series have tested positive for the corona virus. The 2 players were not named but they will be replaced by a trio of players. The 2 positive players will isolate themselves and take no further part in the test series.
