Some alarming events that transpired in first half of IPL 2020

This chapter of IPL has been very sensational. Even though the games are being played in the dearth of fans, it is still relishing.

Followings were the surprise that occurred in this current season of the league:

CSK’S POOR FORM

The three-time IPL champion, CSK is on the steep road of losses. They have managed to gain victories 3 out of 8 battles. Middle-order has ceased to function when they were.

The skipper of CSK, MS Dhoni hasn’t finished the game as he used to finish once. Even though Faf Du Plessis has played excellently, CSK is at an unusual position of seventh in the points table.

NOISE ON GROUND

The ground used to fill up to its maximum before the pandemic. All you could hear is the chant of the crowd. Organizers have embedded a fake crowd sound and chants along with the videos of enthusiasts. In the very first match of IPL, 200 million fans were counted to have watched the game.

INCREDIBLE FORM OF YOUNG PLAYERS

The young players who had played different leagues have been ruling in this IPL. Some of them are the RCB opener Devdutt Paddikal, who has struck half-centuries thrice this season, KKR’s bowlers Mavi along with Nagarkoti, who have been successful bowlers for their team, KXIP’s spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who has been providing big wickets to his team.

RCB IN GREAT SHAPE

Unlike previous years, RCB has performed very well in this season. They are off with a good start. They have gained a victory in 5 out of 7 contests. Last year, RCB was at the underside of the chart.

First Kohli has found his form and now he’s playing excellently. The former skipper of South Africa, ABD has played incredibly. He has played a  breathtaking knock of 73 runs in a match against KKR.

MISFIELDING IN THE CURRENT SEASON

It has been seen that many excellent fielders have been unable to grab the catches. Fielders such as Ravindra Jadeja, Virat Kohli, as well as Hardik Pandya. Players are used to playing where there is a tall tower lighting system.

However, Stadiums in UAE are embedded with a circular lighting system which makes it difficult for the player to catch the ball. The players stated that the ball when it goes high above the ground it blends in with the lights and the darkness. And this leads to misjudgment by the players.
