Indian cricket team ‘s veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan is out of Team India these days. Shikhar Dhawan did get a place in the team on the tour of Sri Lanka last year, but since then he has neither got a place in the T20 World Cup nor has he got a chance to play in the team in any series.
Shikhar Dhawan’s Big Statement On His Return To Team India
Shikhar Dhawan is not getting a chance in the Indian team, but he is consistently scoring runs in the IPL, in which Shikhar Dhawan’s bat has spoken a lot so far this season. After which there are talks of including him in Team India.
India have to play a home T20 series against South Africa soon after the IPL , in which Shikhar Dhawan is getting a response. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan spoke a lot about his form and making a place in Team India.
Shikhar Dhawan Said, My Experience Can Come In T20 Work
Shikhar Dhawan has talked about playing for the next 3 years in the T20 format, in which he also said that his experience can be of great use to the team. Shikhar Dhawan shared his opinion about everything in a conversation with PTI.
He said, “I think I can contribute in the T20 format because of my experience. I am doing very well in the T20 format. Whatever role has been given to me, I have played it well. I have been able to maintain consistency in whatever format I am playing, be it IPL or domestic level and I am enjoying it.”
Dhawan further said, “Yes, I am a very positive person. Leading the team last year was like a dream come true for me. For the T20 World Cup, they (selectors) felt that the (selected) players are better than me and there is nothing wrong with that.”
