Shafali Verma Shines On Her Debut Game Against England; Scorers Fifties In Two Innings

India’s batting performance in the 1st innings wasn’t quite up to the mark. After a record stand between the Indian women openers, the middle order didn’t match up that brilliant, and hence India finds itself in deep trouble despite a solid start. Shafali Verma and Smiriti Mandhana gave India the start. But England paved their way back with a flurry of wickets.

Apart from the Indian openers, only Deepti Sharma reached the double figures, and the rest of the players like Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, and the other female players were out in single digits scorers. Shafali shinned in her debut game, and she made many records to her in Test match cricket.

Verma is the youngest female cricket player to hit two back-to-back half-centuries in test cricket on her maiden game and the age of 17 years. Shafali scored 96 in the 1st innings, and she is unbeaten on 55 runs in the second innings.

India could manage only 231 runs despite the start they got in the 1st innings, and Raj and Co are trailed by 82 runs while the follow was enforced by the hosts, England. India’s score is 83 for the loss of one wicket.

Smriti Mandhana, who batted so well in the first innings, was out for just eight runs. Now Shafali has been accompanied by Deepti Sharma, who is not out on 18 runs. In India’s second innings, only 50 overs were possible due to the persistent rains.

The rains also affected the men’s World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand. The inaugural WTC Final has been played at Ageas Bowl in Southampton. But due to the persistent rains, the 1st day of this final event was washed out without a bowl being bowled.

  1. Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the
internet the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to
you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they plainly do not know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing
without having side-effects , people could take a signal.

Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
