For the IPL 2021 season, Delhi Capitals have roped in Saba Karim, the former wicket-keeper batsman and national selector of India. He will join the DC franchise as their new head of talent search.
Saba Karim was the general manager of the BCCI – Board of Control for Cricket in India, and his tenure got over in January 2021. Now the former WK batsman is set to join the DC team for a new role.
Saba Karim has a deep knowledge of Cricket. He even represented India for 34 One Day International matches, and he also played a lone Test for the men in blue. But his career was stopped because of an eye injury.
The Delhi Capitals franchise had given this information of the joining of Saba Karim as the new head of talent search through Twitter. The franchise has announced that they welcome the former Indian wicket-keeper batsman and national selector Saba Karim to the DC family, and he will be the new Head of Talent Search from now on.
The former WK batsman is excited to join the franchise. The 53-year-old also praised that the performance of the Delhi Capitals in the IPL seasons till now. Saba is excited about his role, and he is looking forward be with the Capitals and help them to find new talents as there so many talented players in our country.
Saba also praised the DC team for the courage which they have shown till now. He said that the DC boys would have to been given more credit because they are playing the tournament in such a difficult situation, and with that, they are staying away from their family and loved ones. Saba believes that is not an easy job to do for any player.
