Three years back, today i.e. 16th, June India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma played extra-ordinary by smashing 140 against Pakistan in the biggest tournament of cricket i.e. World Cup.
It was on 16th June 2019 during ICC World Cup when Rohit knocked down 140 runs in just 113 balls to support Men in Blue to post an enormous total of 337 in 50 overs.
Barring it Rohit also broke Kumar Sangakkara’s record by scoring more than 500 runs in a single world Cup and equaling Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of most tons scored in World Cup history.
He also became the highest run-scorer with 648 runs in just nine matches at an average of 81.00.
