Number seven in the batting order Rohit made his full international debut in a one-day match against Ireland in Belfast on 23 June 2007.
Though he made his debut in this match, he didn’t get a chance to bat as India won the match by 9 wickets.
On 18 November 2007, he scored his maiden ODI century against Pakistan at Jaipur. After this incident, he got selected for the Indian squad going to the 2007–08 Commonwealth Bank Series in Australia.
Today he marks 15 years in International Cricket. He is among those few players who have captained India in all three formats.
He scored 264 runs in a match and named his name in the list of records of highest runs in an ODI match
He even scored 3 double centuries in ODI cricket making it an unbelievable achievement as all players want to do this for their team.
He also scored five centuries in a single tournament in the 2019 World Cup. Though they didn’t win the match he made a world record.
Sharma has played 224 ODIs to date.
He even shared a heartfelt note on completing 15 years in International Cricket on his social media.

Today I’ll be completing 15 years of international cricket since I made my debut for India. What a journey it has been, surely one that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.
