Finally, we have got our both finalists for the 13th season of Indian Premier League holding in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). After qualifier two, it is cleared that Mumbai Indian will take on Delhi Capitals to secure the title. Delhi Capitals’ coach Ricky Ponting seems very excited for his team’s maiden final.

‘It’s a great reward for the hard work’ says Ponting

Last Sunday the Indian Premier League got its second finalist as Delhi Capitals and will face Mumbai Indians for the finale of the 13th season. In a qualifier match played between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Shreyash’s led Delhi Capital defeated Warner’s Hyderabad by 17 runs to get the ticket to the finale.

Now, Mumbai Indians will take on Shreyash’s led Delhi Capital in the finals on the 10th of November for saving the title campaign. Delhi Capitals’ head coach Ricky Ponting is very happy and excited for his team’s maiden campaign.

He wrote that he is thrilled for the boys that have made it through to the first-ever IPL finals for Delhi Capitals. It is a great reward for all the hard works put by the boys throughout the tournament. They have reached here as a team and will take the trophy with them. Just a step to go.

Kagiso Rabada shone in a crucial match against the Warner’s eleven as the South African pacer took four wickets. He was highly supported by Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis who grabbed three wickets.

Delhi bat first in the qualifier and put a total of 189 runs on the board. Thanks to Shikhar Dhawan who scored 78 runs under pressure. West Indian star Shimron Hetmyer also contributed 42 runs in knock outmatch.

Sunrisers Hyderabad despite Kane Williamson’s 67 failed to cross the line and got defeated by 17 runs. Youngster Abdul Samad added 33 runs but his contribution didn’t take his team to a match-winning total. Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, and Sandeep Sharma gave their contribution by taking one-one wickets each.
