Wahab Riaz, the Pakistani speedster who was last seen in the Pakistan squad in 2018 has recently completed 300 T20 wickets and became the third Pakistani bowler and the ninth overall to do so.
Dwayne Bravo holds the record for most wickets in T20 cricket with 506 wickets and is the only bowler to take more than 500 T20 wickets.
Achieved the milestone at home:
Riyaz completed this fabulous record while playing in Pakistan’s domestic T20 league called ‘National T20’. Amidst the corona pandemic, the Pakistan cricket board is having a domestic T20 tournament on their home ground which is giving a good chance to all the players including domestic and national to stay in touch with the game during the pandemic.
PCB congratulates him:
The only Pakistani players to achieve this milestone before were Shahid Afridi and Sohail Tanvir, both have left playing professional cricket a long time ago.
The Pakistan cricket board tweeted wishing congratulations to Wahab Riaz on his magnificent achievement.
Wahab has previously successfully represented Pakistan at the international level especially in the quarter-final of the 2015 World Cup where his bouncers just became unplayable for the Australians who somehow survived that match and went on to win the tournament, but Wahab’s performance in that match will forever be remembered.
He has also represented Pakistan in 27 test matches taking 83 wickets. Keep surfing this website for more such unknown insights into the cricketing world from all around the globe both on and off the field.
