Cincinnati Red Pitcher Trevor Bauer revealed what he stands for in the matter of the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing scandal. Anyone who is wondering where he stands in that case just has to pay attention to his feet.
On Wednesday, for his start in Kansas Bauer showed his support for Joe Kelly. The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher was suspended for eight games which was later on a five game suspension.
This suspension and everyone is aware of was due to the incident about Correa on July 29. Kelly threw at Astros hitters Alex Bregman and Carlos Correa. Trevor Bauer expressed his stand by putting a picture of Joe Kelly on his cleats.
Trevor Bauer’s Support
Trevor on his website has been selling a tee shirt in support of Joe Kelly. He announced that he will give away his Kelly cleats in a lucky draw to random people from the ones who would have bought the Kelly tee shirts which are available on his website.
Trevor also said that the profit that will be made by the tee shirts which have a comic of Kelly saying “Deal with it” will be donated to a charity which will be selected by Joe Kelly.
Bauer tweeted on August 20, giving a look at his Kelly cleats to his fans expressing his support by saying “Free Joe Kelly!” In this tweet he also announced that he will be giving away his cleats in random.
The views and discussions
The incident is still the crossroad. There have been discussions about the incident and whether the Astros players deserved to be punished for their involvement in the scandal. There has been no confirmed decision about the discussions yet.
In one of the podcasts last week Joe Kelly referred to the Astros as cheaters. He also said that this is going to annoy him forever. Although he wasn’t a member of the Dodgers during their 2017 World Series loss against Houston.
Kelly expressed what he felt about his suspension. He stated that all this was really crazy and a very extreme decision to suspend him for games like that.
In one of the other podcasts this week Lance McCullers Jr., the Astros pitcher expressed his views on the Kelly-Correa incident which took place on july 29. Natural Jr said that Joe Kelly was the one who initiated it all in the first place.
He also stated that Kelly was scared of the Astros players and Carlo Correa. Maculars said that throwing 97 mph fast balls at players’ heads is not the way it is done.
Fans are excited to know who will get the Kelly cleats which will be given away by Trevor Bauer. The decision about Joe Kelly’s suspension and whether the Astros players’ punishment for the scandal is also awaited.
