Tim David has been named as a replacement in Royal Challengers Bangalore squad for IPL phase 2 to be played from 19th September in 3 venues of UAE. During CPL season 9, David played an important role in helping St Lucia Kings qualify for the finals and performed brilliantly with cameos.
He played for Singapore in the ICC World T20 qualifiers played during the 2019 season. Despite his side not qualifying, David showed his class with bat and created an impact.
“It’s nice to be representing a lot of the associate players and showing that a player not from Test-playing nations can do really good things at a higher level of cricket,” David said speaking from St Kitts on the eve of the CPL final against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
It has been a busy year for Tim David in 2021. He played in 8 T20 franchise tournaments, nine months, and across six countries.
David featured for Hobart Hurricanes in BBL this year during December and January, his career started to make an increasing graph. He then was called as a replacement for Lahore Qalandars in PSL in Pakistan.
After the first leg of PSL was postponed midway, David went to the Netherlands to play club cricket. He was then called to play the Natwest T20 Blast tournament for Surrey as a replacement due to injury and then featured in Royal One-day internationals also.
He was picked as a last-minute for inaugural Hundred played a key role in the finals helping his franchise win the tournament.

RCB reached the finals thrice in IPL history so far during 2009, 2011 and 2016. They made it into the knockout stage last year losing to SRH in the eliminator.
