Pakistan Cricket Board President Ramiz Raja has withdrawn his comments on IPL. He had earlier said that the inclusion of players in the PSL through auction would increase the money in the league and the quality of the Pakistan Super League. Then it will be seen that no one will leave PSL and go to play IPL.
But this time Ramiz suddenly changed his statement. He said his statement had been misinterpreted. They have an idea of where the Indian economy has reached today.

The PCB President said, “The main sources of income of the PCB are PSL, sponsorship and ICC. The board can gain more by adopting the IPL model in PSL. For this, the auction of players can be started from next season. Discussions are underway to implement this model for next season.” The Pakistan Cricket Board wants to convert it into an auction model This will be discussed with all parties.
The market is now favourable for this. At present, players are selected through the draft in PSL. Targeting the IPL, Ramiz Raja said, “If Pakistan’s economy grows, our respect will increase. If we implement the auction process then we can move forward. Then it will be seen who leaves PSL and goes to play IPL.”
At the moment Ramiz Raja says that he knows where the economy of India is today and where the economy of Pakistan is. “We have plans to improve the Pakistan Super League. We will get the names of the players through auction, but my statement on other issues has been misinterpreted.”
Seven PSL events have already been held. This time the champion in PSL is the team of Lahore Qalandars. They beat Multan Sultans in the final. Islamabad United have won the most two titles in that league. The Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans are the one-time champions.
Ramiz plans to propose a four-nation tournament at the ICC meeting in Dubai on April 10. He wants to offer this competition every year with India, Pakistan, Australia and England. “I don’t know if the ICC will allow it,” Ramiz said. “However, the India-Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup was the most-watched on television. They should not be deprived.”
