India will tour Sri Lanka for the three games each in T20Is and ODIs in July. The limited over series starts from 13tg July 2021, and the Indian legend Rahul Dravid has agreed to coach the Indian team on that tour.
Shikhar Dhawan has been named as the captain, and Bhvneshwar Kumar will be his deputy. The squad includes a lot of younger players as six of the uncapped players will make their debut under the coaching stint of Rahul Dravid.
The former Indian skipper has been at the forefront of India’s development in recent years. Dravid is the head coach of the NCA – National Cricket Academy after he retired in 2012. India has a quality breach strength, and it took many years for India to reach this position.
The credit also goes to the Indian legend Rahul Dravid because we see the stars of tomorrow. India achieved some greater heights under Virat and MS Dhoni earlier. But Dravid was busy shaping the careers of the youngsters for tomorrow.
Rahul Dravid is the chief of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. he is the coach of the Indian A team and the Under 19 side. India has been gifted with budding star players because of Dravid. India’s Under 19 team won the world cup in 20198 in New Zealand, and the India A team also achieved great success on the foreign tours because of Dravid.
India is termed as the world-beaters because of its solid bench strength. Dravid has explored the best results for the younger players of India. He gave the Under 19 team and India A team many opportunities to shine and play for the country in the future.
Dravid said that the players would get opportunities if they are on tour with him. For India A, many players got the opportunities because of Dravi. He felt terrible as a kid when he didn’t get many chances even after doing well.
Some players are capable of scoring 700 to 800 runs in a tournament. But they didn’t get opportunities to show what they are good at. Dravid gave this interview to ESPN for their Cricket magazine.
