Talking about the bowling too, some of the players have done an outstanding job in the IPL history. Some of them were so good that they have taken great wickets in the power play too. We will be discussing such players with the highest wickets in power play.

1. Dhawal Kulkarni – Dhawal Kulkarni who plays for the Mumbai team is one of the most underrated players in the IPL. Despite being such a great player, he never got to play in the playing line-up throughout the season. He just got to play a few overs in the match or a whole match and got benched in the next. Dhawal Kulkarni has always shown a very good performance whenever he got to play. He has played 90 matches in his IPL career so far and he has taken 44 wickets in the power play only.

2. Umesh Yadav – The fast bowler from The Royal Challengers  Bangalore comes fourth in the list with a total of 45 wickets in the power play matches so far. Umesh is a very good bowler and has taken 45 wickets in the 120 matches that he played, but talking about the runs that he gave, the numbers are very high which makes the players very costly for the team.

3. Bhuvneshwar Kumar – The Sunrisers Hyderabad player Bhuvneshwar Kumar has always been a great bowler, not only in the IPL but outside of the IPL too, in the other international matches. Bhuvneshwar has taken 48 matches in the powerplay in 121 matches and has taken 136 wickets in total.

4. Zaheer Khan – Another Indian star Zaheer khan who plays multiple teams including Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi has picked 50 wickets in the powerplay situations of the game. He has a total wickets score of 102 in 100 matches.

5. Sandeep Sharma – Sandeep Sharma, Mumbai’s stalwart tops the list with 53 wickets in the IPL’s powerplay overs. The player has played 89 matches in his IPL career so far with 105 wickets taken by him.
