PBKS vs DC: Delhi’s Win One Step Ahead To Playoffs, Complete Match Highlights

The 64th match of IPL 2022 was played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals  at the DY Patil Cricket Stadium in Navi Mumbai, where Delhi won the match by 17 runs. In this match, Mayank Agarwal won the toss and decided to bowl.

Batting first, Delhi team scored 159 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Mitchell Marsh’s half-century innings and set Punjab a target of 160 runs to win. In reply, Punjab’s team could only manage 142 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets.

Delhi bowlers wreak havoc

Delhi bowlers created a ruckus against Punjab. In this match, Shardul Thakur took the maximum four wickets. In four overs, Shardul took the wickets of Dhawan, Bhanuka, Jitesh Sharma and Rabada. Apart from them, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took 2-2 while Nortje took 1 wicket.

Apart from Jitesh, no one could not play a big innings.

Only Jitesh Sharma played a big innings against Delhi. Apart from him, no batsman could even stay on the crease to play. In this match, Jitesh Sharma faced 34 balls and scored 44 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 3 fours and became the victim of Shardul Thakur.

Against Punjab, Mitchell Marsh scored a half-century while playing a responsible innings. He completed his half-century in 40 balls in this match. Mitchell Marsh faced 48 balls and scored 63 runs with the help of three sixes and four fours and became the victim of Rabada.

After this Arshdeep Singh walks Shardul Thakur for 3 runs. In the end, Kuldeep Yadav remained unbeaten on 2 while Axar Patel remained unbeaten on 17.

Captain Pant’s bat did not play

In this match , Delhi captain Rishabh Pant’s bat remained silent once again. Pant faced three balls and was dismissed for 7 runs with the help of 1 six. Livingstone took his wicket. After running Pant, Livingstone sent Roman Powell to the pavilion for 2 runs.
