Partnership with BCCI will help us reach the masses – MPL Sports

India vs Australia series has begun from 27 November with the first ODI that was played in Sydney. Some attacking cricket was on display by the Aussies as they won the match by 78 runs.

In the first innings Australia put up a big score of 375 runs with Finch and Smith reaching tons. When India came out to bat they didn’t perform very well and it was only Dhawan and Pandya who looked in good touch as India lost the match.

The main attraction in the match for the fans was India’s blue jersey which was much similar to the 1990’s jersey of the then Indian team. It was a dark blue jersey with the tricolour stripe on the upper part.

New sponsors:

On the jersey this time there was the name of a new sponsor MPL sports, the “athleisure wear”. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently named MPL Sports, the sports merchandise brand from Mobile Premier League, as the new kit sponsor and official merchandise partner for the Indian cricket team.

The BCCI has struck a 3-year deal with the sponsors from 2020 to 2023 which begins from Australia’s tour. For the next three years the men’s team, women’s team and the U-19 team will all wear the jersey with MPL logo.

Cricket a medium to reach masses:

Abhishek Madhavan, the senior VP of MPL said that this deal will help their firm reach the masses as team India travels around the world wearing their logo. He further said that cricket is a great medium to connect to the masses.
