The 2021 season of the Pakistan Super League was postponed on 4tH March due to the rising cases of Corona Virus in the country within the bio bubble set up. The tournament has now been re-scheduled by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Now the remaining 14 matches of the PSL will be played from June 1st, 2021, and the final will played on June 20th, 2021.
The teams and the support staff of the PSL league will return to the bio bubble, and they will be going through a strict quarantine period from May 22nd, 2021.
This quarantine period will last for seven days, and then the players are allowed to train just three days before the tournament starts.
The Pakistani Cricket Board has also set up a bio bubble protocol through a two-person fact-finding panel. The bio bubble had come under a serious when the tournament was played last time.
Now PCB will want to ensure a better recommendation of the bio bubble in this T20 tournament.
Pakistan Cricket Board had included all the recommendations, road burst, and the protocols’ stringent implementations.
Those implementations say that they have zero percent tolerance towards the COVID 19 virus, and they have safeguarded the health and safety of all the team and their players.
The PCB will also provide COVID safety technology solutions, biosecure monitoring, and management through a safety management company to respond to the COVID positive tests.
Pakistan Cricket Board will also include a hall of fame to celebrate the achievements of their cricket players. Six players who are already in the ICC Hall of fame panel also be included in Pakistan’s hall of fame, and then three more players will be added from the year 2021.
Pakistan will honor them on their first day of Test Cricket. The men in green had played their first test match on October 16th, 1952.
