Pakistan Cricket Board introduces ‘whistle blowers’ policy to combat corruption

Corruption in sports is the most disheartening thing anyone related to the game can experience, be it a fan or a player or someone sitting in the authorities. It destroys the complete spirit of the sport and leads to a rise of disinterest among the fans watching the game with utmost intensity. During the IPL where players give their 100% for their respective franchises, you may hear many people saying that the game is all fixed and the results are pre decided and watching it is a waste of time. This undermines the efforts given by the players on the field. Just due to one incident that involved 3 players in a spot fixing, fans started losing interest in the tournament. That’s the impact of corrupt activities in sports.

A new technique:

Pakistan cricket board (PCB) has introduced a new technique to overcome such problems and it is named as the whistle blower policy. The policy states that if anyone in the authorities or the player secretly tells the chiefs of the board about the malpractice than their names would be kept secret and they would be protected by the board itself. However the board said that this policy must not be used for frivolous reasons.

A good step:

This is a good step taken by the PCB and must be appreciated by all the fans as it will increase the amount of fairness in the game and anyone who is involved in the wrong activities wouldn’t be spared. Hence the game becomes more correct and competitive.

Many more new such updates for all the fans who like to follow cricket like a religion is available on our website frequently, so stay tuned.
