The unknown record:
19th October, marked the 34th anniversary of a milestone that went unnoticed when it happened.
On this day in 1986, the Allan border scored the one-millionth run in cricketing history. He scored it against Indian bowler Raju Kulkarni. The fifth ball of his fifth over, the 83rd of the innings was turned to the leg side by Jones for a single.
That took the Australian score to 201 for 2. And this brought the total number of recorded runs in all Test cricket to 999,999.
The next ball was carted for four by Border, and Test cricket became a millionaire. He scored it in the famous Wankhede Stadium which is known for many famous records.
Similarly, many records have been created at different venues and each of them is worth remembering as a cricket fan as it makes us more attached to the game.
