New Zealand great Debbie Hockley has scored the most runs in the history of the Women’s @cricketworldcup 

Debbie Hockley (Deborah Ann Hockley) is a former New Zealand woman cricketer. Hockley played a total of 19 test matches, in which she Captained for 6 test matches. Hockey scored 1301 runs in total 19 test matches till now, with a high score of 126 not out, that’s a record too, and an average of 52.04 runs per match.

In women’s one day International, Hockley gave a bunch of massive records with unbeatable records, she played 118 matches and captained in 27 of them. Hockley scored a total of 4064 runs, with a high score of 117 and an average of 41.89 in 117 matches. 

Hockley was also bestowed as Player Of The Match for her amazing performance in World Cup Final played in 1997 in India. Hockley also holds the record of scoring highest run ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (1501) by any women to date, in five World Cups. 

Hockley is the first woman in the globe to play 100 ODI matches to date, and also the first women to achieve 4000 runs streak. Also, she is the first woman from New Zealand cricket to score 1000 runs for the nation.

Hockey also has many good records with the ball, she had picked a total of 5 wickets in his entire 19 test matches, also she had picked a total of 20 wickets in One Day International.

In 2013, she was the 4th woman to be enlisted in ICC Cricket Hall Of Fame. Hockley was also elected as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for duty of in the 1999 New Year Honours. 

In 122 years of history, no woman has been elected as the President of New Zealand Cricket. This history got a halt in 2016 when Hockley was elected as the first woman president of New Zealand Cricket, for his amazing career records and unbeatable scorecard.
