MPL- THE NEW FRONTIER TO LEAD TEAM INDIA AS CONFIRMED BY BCCI!!

Team India has got their new kit sponsor for the next three years, as BCCI has announced that Mobile Premier League (MPL) will provide the sponsorship to the Indian team till the year 2023. 

MPL will also sell Licensed Team India merchandise!!

Mobile Premier League (MPL) will be now the new kit sponsor for Team India. The last sponsorship of the kit ended in September with Nike. From then BCCI started looking for new sponsors and they get MPL an Indian esports platform at price very to the base.

The tenure of MPL will be of three years till December 2023. The sponsorship tenure will begin with the upcoming India tour to Australia. Team India will be seen in a different outfit on the whole tour. MPL will also design the kits for the Women International team and India’s under-19 teams as per the deal.

MPL will not only sponsor the team’s jerseys but also sell the licensed Team India merchandise at a price BCCI has set. MPL is an esports platform that provides a wide range of Indian merchandise to the fans at a very affordable price. It also has a wide range of jerseys collection. Rumors are there that the Indian Team will be seen wearing the retro-themed jersey. 

It seems BCCI has got a good deal. In a tenure of three years, the price set for the merchandise partner by the board is Rs 8 crore which is nearly the base price. The two organizations have set Rs 65 lakh per match cost for the kit sponsorship. Earlier Nike had provided BCCI the sponsorship for the last 14 years that’s tenure ended in September this year. 

Nike has paid over Rs 85 lakh per match for the kit sponsorship. BCCI’s chief Sourav Ganguly said after selecting MPL that he is looking forward to MPL to provide the merchandise officially licensed by BCCI to the billons of Indian fans around the globe at a convenient price.

BCCI’s Secretary Jay Shah assured that the new partner leads India as a frontier for the Indian team and merchandise. During the tenure, the Indian Team is expected to play a total of 142 matches.

An official statement is marked by Abhishek Madhavan from the MPL that they are very keen to work with BCCI. India is blessed with billions of fans and this is a pride for us and we want every fan to feel the same.
