- The Tottenham strategist wants to add to his squad the entire hierarchy of the Welsh player
- Bale currently has a two-year contract with the Spanish team.
José Mourinho has a new goal in mind to continue strengthening Tottenham. This time it would be someone from the house, Gareth Bale. According to the Spanish press, the ‘Spurs’ coach welcomes the arrival of a Real Madrid player.
The Welsh winger has been going through an ordeal in the box of the Spanish capital, where he could only add 100 minutes since the season restarted after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The straw that broke the camel’s back was the player’s decision to ask not to be considered for the return match against Manchester City for the knockout stages of the Champions League, after noting that he would not be taken into account to play.
For these reasons, Mourinho would think of bringing Gareth Bale back to the club where he achieved his best professional performance. However, Londoners would have to negotiate with their Madrid peers on the economic issue. Taking into account that the 31-year-old player still has a contract with Madrid and that his salary is one of the highest in Zidane’s team.
Mourinho already wanted it before
This would not be the first time that Jose Mourinho wanted to sign Gareth Bale. Three years ago he tried to close his contract when he was managing Manchester United. However, the negotiations were unsuccessful.
The player has always been reluctant to leave the merengue club, the idea of returning to the club where he retired as an idol does not displease him at all. It should be remembered that with White Hart Lane he scored 55 goals in 203 games
