Gujrat Titans won the 2nd qualifier against Mumbai Indians and are ready to have another clash against CSK in the finals. GT put up a huge total of 233 runs against MI and won this match with a good margin of 62 runs. All it started with a counterattack of Shubhman Gill where Saha got out after smashing three boundaries. Later on, Gill got good support from Sai Sudarshan and they both built a great partnership of 138 runs.
In power plays, they were playing with an average of 9 but thereafter, Gill switched his gears and played a spectacular innings. MI bowlers bend their knees down after watching these shots. Hardik also joined the party after Gill’s wicket and played a short cameo of 28 runs. In MI’s side, Madhwal and Chawala were the only bowlers who took 1-1 wickets even after bowling an expensive spell. GT put up a score of 233 runs on the board.
MI was looking for a great start to stay in this chase. Wadhera came to bat with Rohit because Ishan Kishan was injured. But both of them couldn’t make any impact in this game. Green and Surya played some creme shots and maintained the run flow steady. Tilak Verma also played a great knock of 43 runs in just 14 balls. When Surya and Tilak Verma were on the crease, the chase was on but GT bowlers are very smart. They took wickets by keeping bowls on the right line length and won this match by 62 runs.
