It was the 2003 world cup in which India was the finalist, and it was also the last time that India won against New Zealand in an ICC tournament. Sourav Ganguly and Co were the last Indian side to beat New Zealand in the ICC Tournament, and since then, India and New Zealand played the 2007 and 2016 editions of World T20 and the 50 over world cup in 2019. But India lost all those games.
Now India and Virat Kohli will look to end this drought and win the ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand. But they also know it will not be easy as New Zealand has a strong side, and they are used to playing in this England conditions.
