KUMAR SANGAKKARA SAYS POPULARITY AND IMPACT OF SHORTER FORMATS HAVE MADE TEST MATCHES FUN TO WATCH!

Hey readers! Allow us to take you in the flashback and recall if you ever played ‘Gully Cricket’ or Street Cricket and those matches too being friendly ones and when it came to deciding how many overs would there be in the match? You would have kept either 6, 7, 8, or most of the time 10 overs so that you can bat, bowl, field, and play swiftly and bring the fullest of joy to the game. A similar kind of series which is the most admired and anticipated series nowadays, T10 League which will start from the 28th January 2021 has gathered loads of attention out there in the cricket world!

Kumar’s Keenness has increased!

One of the greatest batsmen and wicket-keeper, Kumar Sangakkara believes that the surfacing of short formats like T10 League has brought more enthusiasm and spark to Test Matches as cricketers all over the world are unleashing their full and utmost potential simultaneously delivering combative and pristine shots in the longer formats. He said this because of the way the players are tackling the red ball, they are playing these matches with an attitude like that of ODI, T10, and T20s.

Kumar Sangakkara is appointed as the head coach of the Team Abu Dhabi for the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League.

The right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler, and one of the famous cricketers, DJ Bravo thinks that the T10 League is the most attractive and exciting topic in the market,

Here’s his statement tweeted by Abu Dhabi T10 League’s official Twitter account,

Cricket Style Mashup!

The cricketers are taking a dominating approach in the test matches by playing shots like reverse sweeps, and all, Kumar added. He said cross-referencing Rishabh Pant with Cheteshwar Pujara that there is a lot of difference in the batting style of both the players and to see such players whose techniques are poles apart and they make a good pair out there on the pitch.

Kumar Sangakkara mentions that it is in setting the bar high by making runs and in the bowling line-ups, the key to winning lies, because to the amazement of the batsman who would play, he may not have much time to understand and adjust himself to the bowling style of the bowler and that’s a major thing according to Kumar which may make the victory more probable.

Sangakkara’s way to win!

He also stated that many of the players in the T10 League are world-class players, but so that it is an even shorter format than T20 (like IPL) the players would have to channel their features on the ground in terms of this format and take the opportunity as now or never.

No doubt the T10 League will have spicy crisps and crunches holding within it. In what manner would it impact the other games’ formats? Share with us.
