KKR vs MI: Statistics Show Mumbai Will Win! Possible Playing XI, And More

The statistics say 7-22. In the history of IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders have played 29 matches against Mumbai Indians. Mumbai has won 22 of them. Kolkata has won only 7 matches. Statistics show that the last laugh in the battle between the two metro cities is the team on the shores of the Arabian Sea most of the time. Kolkata wants to change that picture this time.

This time Kolkata has won two of the three matches in the IPL. Shreyas Iyer led KKR beat Chennai Super Kings in the first match. In the second match, the Knight Riders lost to Bangalore due to batting failure.

But KKR made a comeback, beating Punjab Kings in the third match. While Mumbai is looking for their first win, KKR will be wanting to continue their winning journey.

Kolkata Knight Riders are in a good mood after winning. Shreyas Iyer is confident before their next match against Mumbai Indians at the MCA Stadium in Pune today. The Kolkata Knight Riders have so far won two of their three games.

In the last match, Andre Russell’s great batting and Umesh Yadav’s deadly pace bowling won the match. There could be a significant change in the team led by Shreyas Iyer today. Aussie pacer Pat Cummins could return to this match instead of Tim Southee.

Although the Kiwi pacer has bowled well in both the matches, there is no point in keeping Cummins on the bench if he is healthy. Foreign wicketkeeper Sam Billings will have to sit down if the two pacers want to play together.

Mumbai, on the other hand, has lost two matches so far this season and is desperate to win the upcoming match. A lot of things are going against them. Rohit’s off-form with the bat and Basil Thampi’s inexperience in bowling have made it even more difficult for them. However, the form of Ishan Kisan and young batsman Tilak Verma will give them some relief.

Kolkata Knight Riders Possible XI:

Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (captain), Nitish Rana, Sam Billings (wicket-keeper), Andre Russell, Sunil Narayan, Pat Cummins, Shivam Mavi, Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakraborty

Mumbai Indians Possible XI:

Rohit Sharma (Captain), Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper), Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, Kerron Pollard, Tim David, Daniel Sams, Murugan Ashwin, Jaspreet Bumrah, Tymal Mills.
